Louisville Soccer Club follows the US Youth Soccer guidelines concerning the ages at which players are eligible to play. This new method, incorporated at the start of the 2016-2017 Season, follows a birth year matrix for the distribution of players. CURRENT MATRIX FOR FALL 2024 - SPRING 2025
Louisville Soccer Club uses the birth-year registration system employed by US Soccer.
Our seasons begin on August 1. We are currently in the 2024-25 season (ends July 31, 2025).
The Birth Year Chart below provides an example of how to calculate age group and birth year. The year the season ends (i.e. 2025) minus your birth year = your age group.
Example 2024-25 season for a player born in 2013: 2025 - 2013 = 12, so the player would be U12.
